Genealogy Research

Time flies so fast that I cannot keep up with the research into my family history. However, I have discovered a little more information on my mother's side. The Great-Great-Great (I'm not sure how many greats)Grandfather was a Baptist minister and his last name was Woods. I viewed a picture on the internet of the old small church where he preached.

Ebooks

It is interesting to find out that my hobby of reading hardcopy/paperback books is rapidly changing and the wave of the future is ebooks. I have only read one ebook which I found at http://www.50foolsandcounting.com/ and enjoyed reading about real life struggles of one entrepreneur. The best thing about the newer ebooks on the market is that they can be downloaded onto their computer and I NEVER NEED A DEVICE SUCH AS A KINDLE OR PALM READER to read this ebook.

Today I have found that some of my ancestors migrated from Ireland and Scotland. They probably went to England and then to the U.S. Will do more research later.

Named ancestors in photos

Today is another day in my quest to find my ancestors. I have just spent two hours on the computer and have learned another small bit of information. It takes a lot of time and diligence to search records. I will continue to follow though on all avenues of research. The information I learned today is about my great-grandparents on my father's mother's side of the family. I had recently found a family photo in an old trunk that belonged to my aunt who passed away many years ago. My grandmother's name was written on the photo, however, I had no idea what the names of the other family members were. The information found today on the Internet gives me the names and date of births for the entire family. I now know the names of the great-grandparents, great uncle and the three great aunts in the photo. The only problem is that I can't identify exactly what name goes with each great-aunt. They appear in the photo to be the same height and are so close in age that I cannot identify them. With the new names I now have more clues and facts to research.

As I previously stated, I have enjoyed my hobby of researching my family history. I have begun a family tree and have begun by documenting living relatives and I'm working backwards. I am using any and all records that I can find such as birth, death, marriage, civil records and any other historical information that might be available. I am logging all data found in an ancestral chart and hope to find the existence of more family members and be able to tell a story of what their lives were like. crp

READING

Another hobby that I look forward to daily is to read newspapers, magazines or books. Lately, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading e-books which some are now available online without the use of a kindle or palm reader. Being able to read online without such devices has greatly improved the sales and popularity of e-books. I am currently reading an e-book which I purchased and downloaded to my computer. After registering the e-book online and entering a specific PIN Code, I can now read this book anytime on this computer and have it saved in my document files. I do not have to be online to read it. I find this very convenient when another family member wants to hook up the laptop in the kitchen to my existing internet service. We do not have wireless. This book is about a young entrepreneur who has had some unbelievable experiences. He began his business with no capital and was truly unprepared. Enter the following address on your internet:
http://www.50foolsandcounting.com to view the book cover. As the book cover shows, this young man is totally unprepared to make the climb to the top of the mountain and will be unable to weather the jagged rocks and steep terrain that he will have to go through to get there. The author of this e-book shares his real life experiences about SEX, MONEY, PEOPLE, GREED and LIES and what has become his E-NIGHTMARE.

If you are interested in reading a good non-fiction novel or in becoming an entrepreneur starting your own business then this book is a MUST-READ. You'll learn how actions and people change and say and do things you would not expect. Just enter this address on the internet http://www.50foolsandcounting.com to hear this unbelievable story.

Genealogy

It is so interesting to search for your family roots. It is important to know what country your ancestors have migrated from when America was discovered. What is your heritage? What did your ancestors do for a living? Where did they live? How many wars did they fight in?
The more research you do the more questions you have. I am just beginning my search and have found several resources to use. CRP
